Meet Our Founders

We’re Mel + Mel — sisters, co-founders, and the duo behind The ConnectHers + Co. What started as late-night ideas and big-hearted ambition turned into a full-blown mission to help women get seen, heard, and connected.

Sister to Sister Chat

We had the absolute joy of joining Sherry + Whitly on the Hey, Soul Sister podcast for a heartfelt conversation about sisterhood, vulnerability, and the realities of building a business together as siblings. We opened up about navigating boundaries, leading with heart, and the healing power of authentic connection and community. It was a beautiful reminder that imperfection is a strength—and that women supporting women creates real, lasting impact.

Known as our Master ConnectHER, she has a natural gift for building genuine relationships and making people feel truly seen. Her talent for connection is at the heart of everything we’re building at The ConnectHers + Co.

She's the one mapping out workflows, building tools, and turning big ideas into scalable action. Celebrating 20 Years with NOA

In May 2025, we were proud to be featured in the Northern Ontario Angels’ 20-Year Anniversary Mini-Documentary and Commemorative Magazine. It was an honour to be recognized alongside inspiring entrepreneurs from across the North — and to share our story as part of this milestone celebration.

Northern Roots

In this Northern Heart + Home feature, we shared the heart behind The ConnectHers + Co. — our mission, our roots, and how we’re creating space for women to grow, connect, and get seen. A beautiful spotlight on what it means to build something meaningful in Northern Ontario.

Our Story

Where We've Been

Over the last three years, what started as a simple idea to build a platform has grown into something so much bigger. Our passion for helping women connect with the right people and the right opportunities has only gotten stronger with every step.

We’ve learned, pivoted, and poured our hearts into creating a space where visibility feels accessible and real. Along the way, we’ve met the most incredible people — women who believe in what we’re building and have cheered us on from day one. Their support is what keeps us going.

Where We're Going

We’re in build mode — and it’s go time. Our focus right now is getting the COUNT platform published and live, while growing our waitlist of powerhouse women ready to be seen, heard, and celebrated. This isn’t the start of our journey — it’s the next bold step. Together with businesses, organizations, and communities across Canada, we’re making intentional matchmaking the future of networking.

OUR MISSION

At The ConnectHers + Co., our mission is simple: to help women be seen and heard. We’re here to break down the invisible barriers that hold women back from stepping fully into their potential — whether in business, leadership, or community. Through intentional connection, strategic visibility, and tools that actually work, we’re creating a future where growth isn’t reserved for the loudest in the room — it’s accessible to every woman ready to rise.

Our 1st Pitch

Flashback to 2024 — when we took the stage at Venture Timmins to share our vision for the C.O.U.N.T. Matchmaking Platform. Hosted by Northern Ontario Angels, this opportunity gave us more than a spotlight — it gave us clarity, confidence, and momentum. We’re deeply grateful for the support we received that day, and for the way our ideas were not just heard, but celebrated. It was a powerful reminder that what we’re building matters — and we’re not building it alone.
